Revelation 17 Explained

And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I shall show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, (Rev 17:1 NASB)

The Bible does not tell us who this speaking Angel is but does note that he is one of the seven who brought out the bowls and poured them on to the earth. However, this maybe the seventh Angel who was last speaking in Chapter 16: verse 17; He is the one who poured out his bowl on the air and we heard a loud voice from heaven saying “It is done”. Following the destruction which occurred, it is announced in Verse 19 that “Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath”. Notice that Babylon the great is a women, for God call it her. This announcement is terrifying, and everyone knows God means business, because every island fled and the mountains were not found! The very next thing to happen is instruction from “one of the seven Angels who had the seven bowls” saying “Come here”; I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters.
